A firm’s ability to achieve its growth goals depends on a variety of factors. Leaders who understand these factors and how to influence them have a clear edge in the marketplace.
A Growth Capability Assessment (GCA) provides a framework for growth strategy development. It does this by exploring the current state of six key areas that directly impact firm growth, comparing it to benchmarks of high-growth firms, and engaging your team in developing a collaborative path forward.
In a basic GCA, designated firm leaders complete a survey that gathers their insights on the firm’s ability to grow based on the six key factors. Rainmaker analyzes the results and provides the firm with a summary and recommendations for optimizing growth.
For a more in-depth assessment, the process can involve one-on-one interviews, focus groups, and facilitated discussions with selected leaders and representative client service professionals.
Approach
- Survey Professionals – We will administer an electronic survey of firm professionals involved in business development and/or marketing of the firm. Survey questions will be organized around six key areas of growth capability.
- Interview Firm Leaders – Senior Rainmaker consultants will conduct personal, one-on-one interviews with designated key partners/professionals to gather personal leadership perspectives.
- Analyze and Summarize Results – We will analyze the feedback to identify trends and key issues. This will include a comparison among roles/levels to identify potential gaps in understanding and/or opportunities for greater synergy.
- Present Recommendations and Facilitate Discussion – Senior Rainmaker consultants will meet on-site with selected firm leaders. We will present the findings and key observations, along with our recommendations for next steps. This is an interactive session in which we facilitate discussions among your team to process this information and determine an appropriate course of action.
